Member Transfers

PCPs may request to have a member transferred from their panel due to the inability to establish a good physician/patient relationship, including consistent non-compliance with physician instructions/recommendations or verbally or physically abusive behavior. PCPs are responsible for providing/arranging medical care to eligible Health Options members. Members will not be transferred from a physician’s panel based on specific medical conditions and/or needs, unless such transfer is, in the physician’s medical judgment, in the patient’s best interest to allow transfer.
